Is it a glass pineapple?

My mom and dad visited London in the summer of 2002 and completely missed the construction of this building. Dad kept griping about all the *&%! cranes around the area, but never went to see what all the fuss was about! Well, here it is, in all its glory: 30 St. Mary Axe. I guess the street was named after a long-lost church that had contained an axe that Attila and the huns used to sacrifice thousands of virgins in the 5th Century. It's quite an engineering marvel.
