The Third Eye

If I cover one eye & close the other...

The Hindu epic Mahabharata relates the tale of how Shiva grew his Third Eye, "One day his beautiful consort Parvati, stealthily went behind Lord Shiva and playfully placed her hands over his eyes. Suddenly darkness engulfed the whole world and all beings trembled in great fear as the lord of the universe had closed his eyes. Suddenly a massive tongue of flame leapt from the forehead of Shiva; a third eye had appeared there to give light to the world."

As a new observer I must train myself not only to see, but to perceive as well.

Sri Shiva Tattva teaches that the "The frontal eye, the eye of fire, it is the eye of inner perception. It looks mainly inward, but whenever directed outward, it burns all that appears before it."

As I strive for this Higher Perception I will continue to bestow my idle observations upon all that wish to share. Do not be fooled by my simple ways - although I am quick to giggle and often spit up - much learning may be acquired on this trek.

Only yesterday I saw eternity in a pool of drool.
