Thanks for Nothing

My parents cooked a 20 pound bird and all I got were these lousy strained peas!
Well, a family quorum was present the Saturday before Thanksgiving to have a feast (Dad had to work on Turkey Day). I had just started on solid foods and was looking forward to a hearty meal. All of a sudden Mom slides this jar of strained green stuff in front of me. Needless to say, I was not amused. When Christmas rolls around they better stuff me full of leibkuchen and egg nog.
In any case, it was a fun day. I got to spend time with some of the same people that dropped by for Father's Day. Only this time their faces weren't so blurry. Here are just a few:

Grandpa Otto

Uncle Danny

Uncle Karl
Although I am not thankful for the bounty of strained peas with which my parents presented me; let it be stated unequivocally that I am thankful for this time spent with family (and all the gifts they brought, too!)
