Christmas

SANTA CAME TODAY!

I told Santa that I was a good boy this year and he must have agreed! He brought me all kinds of cool stuff...so cool, in fact, that it took me FOUR days to open everything! He didn't really go overboard (but hey, would that have been so bad?), but each toy that I opened was so much fun that I had to play with it for a while before being at all interested in opening something else!

This is a set of six train cars that all have magnets on the ends. It's pretty fun to not only push them around, but to hold one up in the air and let the others hang!

I got Scoop! How on earth did Santa know that I love Bob the Builder? Hmmmm, he must read this blog! He also brought me Roley!

I got this neat Big Wheel from Great-Grandpa DL & Janet. My feet don't quite reach the pedals yet, but who cares! I'll just continue driving it like Fred Flintstone until I'm bigger.
Check out this nifty game...it's an Oreo matching game. There are twelve cookies that have a shape inside and you have to put the right pieces together to form the cookie! The motion is the same as when you want to eat the Oreo filling. What a brilliant marketing idea!

Potty Training

Look what I am learning to do! I have started the potty training era and so far I am doing really well! Right now Mommy takes me to the potty as soon as I wake up from naptime or nighttime because that’s when I go the quickest. We try at other times too but we usually just end up sitting there for a while. I’ve managed to go poop in the potty a couple of times, but I think we just got lucky those times. I’m not very good at telling Mommy when I need to do the deed until after it’s done so I need to work on that. My greatest excitement in this process was discovering that pee-pee is YELLOW, however blue is my favorite color and I’d really like to someday have blue pee-pee. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can accomplish that, I’d love to hear them!

Breakfast With Santa - Take Two?

Our library does a Breakfast with Santa every year and last year was a bit traumatic for me. As you can see here, today didn't start out much better. Mommy thought she had prepped me really well too...she told me that I would get to sit on his lap, I'd get to tell him that I've been a very good boy, and also tell him what toys I hoped he'd bring me for Christmas. I was so excited that I even learned how to say his name! We arrived a bit early and Mommy wanted to just sit in the car for a few minutes, but I was having none of that...I kept yelling "ZENTAAAAAAA" because I wanted to see him NOW! Finally she let me go in and I ate my pancakes and sausage while I waited for the other kids to take their turns. When my turn came though, I suddenly got really scared! I made it perfectly clear that I was not going to stop crying unless I was on Mommy's lap instead, so she obliged. Santa started talking to me about the train that I want and how busy the elves are right now making it for me, and I quickly calmed down. He also asked me what kind of cookies I like (chocolate chip, of course) and asked if I would leave some for him when he stops by. You betcha, Santa!

It's Good To Share

As I was eating my Cheerios this morning, I looked over and saw Elmo with his mouth wide open. If that's not a signal for "I'm hungry", I don't know what is. So, the nice boy that I am, I shared. For some reason though, he spit them all out when I picked him up. Hmmmm.
