Resolutions
So last year, my resolutions were to start talking and get potty trained. To update everyone, I’m doing great on both counts.
I am speaking in fairly consistent 3-word sentences now, with an occasional 4- or 5-word thrown in for everyone’s excitement. We’re still working on pronunciation, but that’ll come in time. I have speech classes a couple of times per week and I really like my teachers, Karla and Laura. They let me play with all kinds of neat games and I forget that I’m actually learning something in the process!
For the most part, I enjoy going to the potty. I’m trying really hard to tell Mommy before I have to go, but it’s pretty tough. She started using the M&M technique and that seems to be improving things. I get one for each pee-pee and two for each poop, so my addition skills are benefiting too! I like to finish all of one color before moving on to another.
My goals for 2007 are to continue the momentum in both areas. Maybe we’ll also work on sharing a little bit too. That’s really not very fun, so I have to give that some more thought before committing to it.
