Being Lazy

I got this big stuffed dog back on my first birthday and I have just discovered how comfy he is to lay on! Mommy gets quite a kick out of watching me try to get into the above position with me nicely between the dog and my "lello banket". I have to admit that it is a bit of a struggle, but once I've got it perfect I'm a happy camper! It all started when I realized it was fun to pounce onto the dog then roll off of him, but then his butt split open and stuffing started coming out! Aaaaagggggghhhhhh! Luckily Grandma Elaine was here and stitched him up real nice for me. I promise I'll be nice to him from here on out!

My Worm

We got to learn all about worms at the library today! Each of us kids got our own worm to look at up close with a magnifying glass, and boy was it dirty and squirmy! Worms have to mush their food in their mouths since they don't have any teeth, so we got to try that with an animal cracker to see what it was like. I have to say, teeth are good things to have!

Later she gave us each a container with dirt and some chopped lettuce and carrots so that we could take our worms home with us! I'm not sure why, but Mommy and Daddy decided mine should be released in the backyard. I tried to lobby for him to have our spare room, but I was outvoted 2-1. We forgot to name him before we let him go, but I love him and it's nice to know he's outside hanging around!

My Favorite Teacher

This is one of my speech teachers, Miss Laura. Today was my last day with her and I'm going to miss her a lot. Everytime we leave the house, I ask Mommy if we are going to see Laura. She and I have spent two hours a week together since November so we've gotten to know each other really well. She always had fun toys for me to play with like cars, a big bus, flash cards, puppets, books, and all kinds of different things. When I started going to see her I had only a handful of words in my vocabulary and now I am speaking in consistent 5-6 word phrases! She has helped me so much and Mommy & Daddy are really happy with my progress. I know that Laura reads my blog, so I want to say a big THANK YOU for all the fun and all the help you have given me. It was really nice of you to give me the little brown dog and tractor book too. (I've been sleeping with the dog ever since!) I hope we run into each other once in a while!

Happy Easter!

OK, I'm still a little freaked out by these larger than life fuzz-covered things that I have sit on the laps of every holiday. This is the Easter Bunny and I was really excited by him while we were waiting in line, but when my turn came all of that changed. Even though this shot isn't great, Mom says we were lucky to get one this good because I didn't want to take my hand away from my face or look at the camera. Good thing she acts quickly. Since two different Easter Egg Hunts have been cancelled due to bad weather, this was my only chance to get in Mr. Bunny's good graces. He looks pleasant enough, so hopefully he will still bring me a nice basket of goodies.

These are the Easter eggs that we made while Grandma Elaine was here the other day. We did some with the messy colors too, but these were done with shrink-wrap. Grandma and Mommy both think this is definitely the way to go, but of course I prefer messy. Whew, this plate is kinda heavy!
(Thank you Grandpa Chip and Grandma Elaine for my Easter treats!)
