How did she fool me?

How did she fool me?

Mommy tricked me into getting my 4-month immunizations today. I thought for sure I’d be able to charm my way out of it this time, but somehow she managed to outsmart me! Before I knew it, I was getting poked with needles practically as big as I am! And that’s BIG when you consider that I now weigh 14 pounds even and am 2 feet 2 inches tall! I decided that I would try to show some maturity and not cry…so I only whimpered a little. I guess I still need to work on that.

Caption Contest II

Caption Contest 2

This may not be one of my greatest moments, but the shutter speed on that old camera seems to challenge my attention span. Like the last time, please offer flattering comments to help me decide on a caption for this photo.

Bedtime Mechanics

Procedure for sleeping:
Step 1 - Insert Left Thumb
Step 2 - Hold Left Thumb in Place with Right Hand
Lesson Learned - Momentum may carry you onto your belly

Mommy and I have both been sick with colds this week. It's been nice to stay home with her, but we haven't had very much fun. The big thing now is that I am starting to roll over this week...unfortunately I do it mostly in my sleep, which means I wake up since I don't know how to sleep on my tummy yet. As a result, I haven’t gotten nearly as much sleep as Mommy would like, and neither has she! It's good for her to be challenged though.

Little Man, Big Hair

Little Man, Big Hair

We may learn from the Tao that
"A moving door hinge never corrodes.
Flowing water never grows stagnant."

The spirit does not soar without something to excite it. As long as we are vital, we will not suffer as much. Even in the autumn of your life, you cannot give up growth. If you do, you only invite decline.

Having said that, please allow me to introduce my hair. Its growth is a celebration of life. That life has a mind of its own.

Leave it to The Beaver

Wanted to toss a fond farewell and a brand new welcome to a former WMU Bronco who is now pursuing her post graduate degree at beautiful Oregon State, home of The Beavers.
My dad usually rambles on about the good old days spent scouting engineering schools. The cheerleaders' motto at Oregon State used to be "Come on out and See Our Beavers!" Double entendre aside it seemed rather catchy.
Good luck, Jess.

How YOU Doin'?

How YOU Doin'?

Have you seen my namesake’s new show “Joey” on NBC? Mommy and Daddy won’t let me watch it because it’s on past my bedtime. What a jip! I mean c’mon, I’m more than 3 months old now…when do I start getting some privileges? I hear it was cute though...hey, just like me
