Entertainment Choices

When no one is paying attention, I like to turn on the boob-tube and catch up on "Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street."
When am I going to be able to stream on-demand programming across the Internet? What the heck was the point of that Time Warner/AOL merger anyway?! All I got out of that one was a massive loss of market capitalization.

Christening Ceremony

It's not champagne!

Well, Dad finally broke down and bought a hybrid car. But what a car! Honda continues to lead the auto industry. This baby has a sweet little V6 engine that turns itself off at stops and economizes down to 3 cylinders when it's humming along on the highway. In addition, its metal hydride battery is recharged by regenerative braking providing for a much more efficient IMA drive train.
Unfortunately, I was so excited about the engineering specs (and the thought that with Honda's reliable engine technology this might be mine in 15 years) that I blew chunks all over the hood of the new car. Honda was calling the paint job "Graphite Pearl" - I wonder what color you'd call it now?

Just around the block, dad, please?

One Step at a Time

Dad bought me a ten-month birthday present. It's a walker/rider toy and I've been having a lot of fun with it. I'm getting really good at this standing thing and before everyone knows it I'll be walking, too.
Here I am posing with hand on hip - Dad thinks I look like those laborers posing for the old fashioned cameras just after driving the last stake for the Transatlantic Railroad. I just think I look cool next to my new wheels.

Ten Months Old

A Perfect Ten!

I'm now 29 inches tall and I weigh 20 pounds (double my birth weight). I've got a pair of bottom chompers, one on the top and another one about to come through. I'm pulling myself up to a standing position using anything that I can grab (snoopy table, snoopy toybox, mom). I've been given two haircuts already that Dad claims makes me look like a little Dutch boy (isn't that appropriate, though, with Tulip Time just around the corner?). I'm very ticklish and I'm a shameless flirt. I've recently been chewing on peas, and I must say, they are so much better whole than strained!

Back to School

WMU's Haworth College of Business

Dad received the sole award for MBA Excellence from the Department of Management, so Mom and I got to see what WMU campus life is like. The award ceremony was pretty long, but I managed to stay on my best behavior throughout it. In just a few weeks Dad will finish his Masters degree, then it's on to the Ph.D. Maybe in the fall I'll get my picture taken sitting on a different sign - sheesh, what a jet set life I lead!
