Storytime in the Park

What a cool day this was! (Well not really, it was HOT but at least we were in the shade!!!) Every year, our local Ready to Read program has a storytime in the park. Hundreds of kids go downtown and sit in groups all around the park and storytellers rotate around thoughout the hour. Lots of well-known local people and volunteers dress up in costume and read the stories. Here I am listening to our very own Police Chief Weston! Some of the others who read to our group were Mother Goose, Winnie the Pooh, and Curious George! Each kid got a goodie bag with animal crackers, a juice box, and a book to take home too!

After storytime, we had lunch with Grandpa Jim and Great-Grandma Eleanore. By the time we headed home, I was pooped!

Two-Fisted Drinker

Mommy and Grandma Elaine took me to IHOP today for lunch. Even though I only ordered milk as my beverage, the waitress brought me some water too. At first I was alternating every sip, then I decided that was too much trouble. The solution? Slide the cups together and have the best of both worlds! Leave it to me to be smart like that!

Best Friends

This is me and my best friend Josiah. That's kind of a hard name for me to say though so I shortened it to "Sigh-ya". This happened to be a rare moment where Mommy was able to take a picture of us without it being blurry! She has tried and tried and tried to get a nice picture of our faces, but we just have too much fun together to hold still long enough! Both of our mommy's like it when we play together because we take really good naps afterwards. We also seem to get into trouble every now and then, but we're 2-year old boys, so what do they expect?

Hair-Raising Experience

No, it was not the wind doing this to my hair, it was the static from going down the slide at the playground! It goes back down again by the time I run around to the steps, then it all happens again. I'm having tons of fun, so who cares!

Cooking Class

A new cooking school for kids just opened up around the corner and Mommy signed me up for a free trial class. I love to help her in the kitchen whenever I can, so this was a great thing to be able to do...especially since all the utensils and equipment were just my size! Here I am rolling out some dough that will eventually become pasta!

This chocolate and sprinkle-covered pretzel is calling my name! Maybe no one will see me sneak a bite.
